About Eli Yashar

Bbell1I actually started my craftsmanship while studying interior architecture at the “Ort” College in 1996-1999. Concurrently, I took a course in stained glass.Throughout my studies and work, in addition to perfecting my profession, I searched for a way to create original & interesting products. At the time my parents moved to an apartment in a new building, I noticed the doorbell was made of simple plastic, always lit-up, as opposed to the bells in the old buildings. That is when I got the idea of creating a doorbell of coloured glass, permanently lit, which will give the door an impressive & unique entrance.

I registered the product at the patent registrar as design (model) rights. This is where I felt the strong connection to the Stained Glass craft. The realization that I created an attractive, special product which adds beauty to the entrance of a home, enforced my desire to continue creating and developing. I create this product in various shapes and sizes, for many clients with a sense to appreciate the effect of this unique and beautiful item.  An additional product which I developed during my stained glass studies, was the fragments of the broken wedding glass. During the process of closing a glass pyramid, we had to incorporate decorative elements, such as: dried flowers, beads etc. At a relative’s wedding, during the custom of breaking a glass under the canopy, I got an idea of placing the glass shards into the pyramid to create a souvenir of the wedding day.

This pyramid was in my studio for a long time, until I decide to display it at my sales stand. The interest in this product was so great that it prompt me to developing this product. Today I produce many samples of elements, incorporating the Wedding Glass shards.

Today, 13 years after the idea started, the product caught up, I started to receive orders locally and worldwide, creating special and exciting wedding souvenirs.  Additional products which are available at my studio and my stand, at the pedestrian walk on Nahalat Benyamin Street, are special Judaica items, such as: Sevivonim (dreidls) of various designs, each dreidl contains a different stuffing,  playing dice, coloured glass, coloured sand, coins and more. I also produce Mezuzot in a variety of designs and colours and a variety of menorahs.  In addition I create  various models of Lighting Elements.  Hanging, ceiling attached, wall lamps, table lamps and more,  in a variety of colours and shapes.
